Bukasa is a village on the eastern edge of Kampala, Uganda’s capital city, near the shores of Lake Victoria. As Bishop George and Margaret began their ministry life together God led them to this densely populated, economically challenged neighborhood to make their home and to become the focus of their ministry.
The images below give a bird’s-eye view of Bukasa’s location and its unique setting. They also offer a brief introduction to its people, their challenges, and the circumstances in which they live. While families face unhealthy water, unsanitary streets, intermittent utility services, inadequate medical facilities, poor quality homes, and few job opportunities —they are a happy people and meet these hardships with inspiring faith, perseverance, and hope.
At the heart of the community are Ever Increasing Miracle Church and Ever Increasing Children’s Center. Church leadership teaches how to know God and live a life of faith. The school’s educational program represents hope and opportunity to improve their children’s future.
We invite you to learn how you can partner with us to help make that future possible for the children of Bukasa.
