Student Sponsorships

Become a Student Sponsor

Our hope is that every child in Bukasa village gets the opportunity to learn, grow, and discover the love of Christ. Through student sponsorships, you are helping to provide schooling that changes the life of a child.

In Uganda, public education is not free. With the average unskilled worker earning just $3–5 USD per day, most families simply cannot afford to send their children to school.

To help meet that need, iheartBukasa partners with Bishop George and the staff of Ever Increasing Children’s Center to provide a quality education rooted in the love of Jesus. As students learn and grow they begin building a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their beloved country of Uganda.

When you sponsor a student for $40 a month, you’re providing far more than a seat in a classroom. Your monthly gift provides tuition, books, school supplies, a daily meal, and biblical instruction—meeting practical needs while helping each child grow academically and spiritually. Along the way, students develop confidence, discover their God-given abilities, and are welcomed through an open school door that would otherwise remain closed.

Anita Namyalo

Anita is a bright 7-year-old in Primary 2. She lives with her father and younger brother. Since losing her mother during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, Anita’s father has worked selling chapatti on the street to provide for his family. Despite his diligence, his modest income does not cover school fees. A sponsor’s support would give Anita the opportunity to enroll in school.

Device Magomu

Device is a cheerful 10-year-old in P4. He enjoys playing football with his younger brother and has a natural talent for sports, though math is his favorite school subject. Device lives with his single mother, who works long days selling fresh produce on the village streets to provide for her family. A sponsor’s kindness would help Device remain in school and strengthen his love of learning.

Enock Kisulani

Enock is an enthusiastic 8-year-old in P2 who loves math and playing football. He and his older brother live with their single mother, who earns a small income as a street vendor. Because she cannot consistently afford school fees, their attendance is intermittent. Each day, Enock helps his family by carrying water home from the village well.

Jemimah Kemigusha

Jemimah is an 11-year-old student in Primary 4. She lives with her single mother and four siblings. To provide for the children her mother works washing, mending, and tailoring clothing for neighborhood families. Jemimah’s father is seeking better-paying work in the surrounding regions, but the family’s income is still not enough to cover school fees. A sponsorship would open the door for Jemimah to stay in school.

Moses Muwanguzi

Moses is a shy 8-year-old in P2 who loves math problems and creative play. He and his
younger brother live with their single father, who works as a hardware store keeper. His modest income barely covers necessities for the family, making school attendance intermittent at best. Through sponsorship, Moses can receive consistent education, a daily meal, encouragement and hope.

Violah Namwase

Violah is a kind and gentle 7-year-old in Primary 1. She lives with her mother and three siblings. With Violah’s father absent from the family, her mother works hard washing and mending clothing, but her modest income is not enough to provide school fees. Through the faithful support of a sponsor, Violah can continue building a strong educational foundation while discovering the confidence and hope that come with learning.

Wisdom Wandera

Wisdom is 3 years old and is in Baby Class- the first level of nursery school. He lives with his grandmother who works as a seamstress and washer woman to provide for her three grandchildren. When parents aren’t available or are unable to care for their own children it is common for relatives to step in to provide love, food and shelter. A sponsorship would provide a loving hand to both child and grandmother.
